Pre-Conference Program: Military Credit Mapping Summit

Cost: Complimentary for all participants thanks to Michigan’s sub-grant of the Lumina Foundation award received by MHEC’s (the Midwestern Higher Education Compact) Multi-State Collaborative on Military Credit (MCMC).

This pre-conference event will help educators match courses to Joint Services Transcript (JST) credit recommendations with support from staff from the American Council on Education (ACE). Educators from all disciplines are invited to attend. Click here to review the agenda.

Annual Conference: Serving Veterans in the Classroom

Cost: Complimentary for CMVE’s public institution members thanks to its generous 2015-2018 Kresge Foundation award. $50 for CMVE affiliate institutions (Michigan’s private non-profit affiliate institutions). $100 for non-member institutions (from in or out-of-state).

Keynote speaker: Bryan Anderson earned a Purple Heart for his service in Iraq in 2005 and will enlighten conference guests with the story of how he was injured by an IED (improvised explosive device) in Iraq, his rehabilitation at Walter Reed Medical Center, and his determination to enjoy life to the fullest. Bryan’s remarks on the perseverance  of today’s veterans will set the tone for additional programming focused on Serving Veterans in the Classroom.
