The U.S. Army Recruiting Command (Great Lakes Battalion) is responsible for recruiting qualified men and women to serve in Active Duty and the Reserves in the state of Michigan. They have 32 recruiting centers with over 240 recruiters that work in secondary and post-secondary schools across the state. The Great Lakes Battalion will host a 5 hour training event for educators, administrators and community partners on April 6, 2018 from 10am-3pm at Lansing Community College (West Campus). The intent of this training to educate our administrators, educators, and community partners about the benefits, training, jobs and lifestyle the Army offers.
We hope to break down stereotypes that exist about the Army and demonstrate how the Army is an organization that values training and education. We will show that the Army offers training and jobs that translate very well to the civilian sector – with competitive pay and outstanding benefits. The Army is much more than guns and tanks. We have cyber/computer science, veterinarian and medical services, police, engineering, and intelligence (to name a few fields).
The point of contact for RSVP and questions about this event is Mrs. Sara Horace at 517-200-8457.
