Join special guests Gina Sobania, Director of Military, Veteran, and Adult Learner Services, Minnesota State and Dr. Hamid Kazeroony, Business Faculty, MN’s Inver Hills Community College to hear more about their experiences with Minnesota State’s Veterans Education Transfer System (VETS).  Following these remarks, individuals from Michigan campuses will share their perspectives on the importance of this initiative on their campuses. The webinar will close with a detailed project overview and plenty of time for Q and A.

CMVE’s primary goal is to encourage military-connected individuals to use the educational benefits available to them through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Paramount to this critical goal, consortia members are focused on ensuring veterans and military-connected students that enroll in Michigan’s public post-secondary institutions receive the support they need to successfully complete a credential that will lead to gainful employment and productive civilian lives. To this end, CMVE serves as a convener of college and university staff to provide for professional development opportunities and sharing of promising practices to better support military-connected students.
